OUR MISSION
The ultimate goal of our federation is to put sticks in the hands of youth players. They are the engine of growth and the future of our sport — the ones who will go on to play on national teams, start clubs, and bring their friends into the game. To serve them well, we must be safe, inclusive, and affordable in everything we do.

To that end, the purpose of this administration is to professionalize the federation, hold ourselves accountable, and create the most fertile growth medium possible for floorball in the United States. We will answer the fundamental questions every newcomer asks: How do I start? Where do I play? Who else plays? How do I coach? How do I officiate? We will build the frameworks that develop players, referees, coaches, and clubs. And we will engage the international community as a responsible, contributing member of the IFF.

Tomah Team Wins Floorball Championship

Adam Troy

For the first time in the tournament's five year history, a Tomah team won the advanced division championship in this weekend's Midwest Floorball Championship hosted at Tomah High School.  Teams from Tomah, St. Paul, Minneapolis, and Chicago were in the advanced division.  There were also seven teams in the recreational division.

The Tomah team consisted of Oakley Moser, Josh Moser, Derek Moser, Drew Carlson, Tim Nicksic, Cody Renfro, Oak Moser, and Dan Huneke. The Tomah team beat a strong Chicago team 4-3 in a thrilling semifinal game in which Derek Moser scored the game winning buzzer beater goal in the final second.  The team then faced Minneapolis in the championship game which was decided in a shootout after a 4-4 regulation tie.  The shootout went 9 rounds before Tomah was victorious.  In the shootout, Tim Nicksic scored once and Oakley Moser scored twice including the game winner in the 9th round.  Goalie Cody Renfro was outstanding, saving 7 shots in the shootout.

Two of the team members from Tomah, Josh Moser and Derek Moser, will play with players from Minneapolis and Chicago on a combined team at the Canada Cup floorball tournament in Toronto in May.

Recreational Division

The recreational division had 7 teams this year.  Tomah was well represented among the teams that made the semifinals, with 2 of the 4 teams consisting of Tomah players.  The recreational division championship was won by a team from the Twin Cities area.
