OUR MISSION
The ultimate goal of our federation is to put sticks in the hands of youth players. They are the engine of growth and the future of our sport — the ones who will go on to play on national teams, start clubs, and bring their friends into the game. To serve them well, we must be safe, inclusive, and affordable in everything we do.

To that end, the purpose of this administration is to professionalize the federation, hold ourselves accountable, and create the most fertile growth medium possible for floorball in the United States. We will answer the fundamental questions every newcomer asks: How do I start? Where do I play? Who else plays? How do I coach? How do I officiate? We will build the frameworks that develop players, referees, coaches, and clubs. And we will engage the international community as a responsible, contributing member of the IFF.

Five Day Floorball Camp a Success in Texas!

Five Day Floorball Camp a Success in Texas!

Adam Troy

Last week the North Texas Floorball Association hosted a five day floorball camp with coaches from the Czech Republic.

The North Texas Floorball Association website tells us about the first day.

Many kids and adults participated in two different sessions, each 90 minutes long. The coaches for the week, Marek and Vojtech, are both elite players and coaches from the Bohemians Floorball Club in Prague, Czech Republic. Marek is also employed by the Czech floorball association responsible for development.

The youth session was attended by 13 youth floorball enthusiasts. After a very short introduction, the two coaches started the session with some high-intensity warm-up exercises, followed by ball control practices, with both dribbling and other forms of ball handling. Naturally there was also enough playing time, with 3-on-3, 3-on-4 and 4-on-4 situations. All playing exercises were carried out with short shifts to keep game intensity high.

The adult session followed a similar pattern, with exercises modified to fit the 15-player group. Strong warm-up, lots of exercises and lot of playing.

Check out more pictures and information about the camp here.

The next training camp in Texas will the the USA Floorball Development Camp in September. Read more here.
